Founded in 1949 by a family of professors with a passion for education, the Institut "La Gruyère" continually strives to improve its methods of teaching.

A total number of 50 boarders (boys and girls) and 30 day students make up the Institute's big family, in which the student will find an international atmosphere where the principles of teaching are based upon respect for and openness towards all forms of culture. In this way it creates an environment of study, of exchange and of intellectual and spiritual awakening.

In line with our school motto, we strive to provide our students not only with knowledge, but an overall life education. We create a place where they are protected and close to nature, somewhere they can feel at home and make their mark. This allows students from many different origins, religions and cultures to come together in a tolerant, friendly and supportive environment. This is a school for life.
